Privacy Policy
OUR PRIVACY COMMITMENT
The Coda Legacy Project respects the privacy, dignity, language, and story ownership of every visitor and contributor. We collect only the information needed to respond to inquiries, receive story-interest forms, provide requested services, improve accessibility, and operate this website.
Submitting a story-interest form does not give permission to preserve, research, publish, or publicly share a story. Those uses require separate follow-up and explicit consent.
INFORMATION, USE, AND CHOICES
Information we may receive includes your name, email address, phone number, story title or theme, information you voluntarily submit, and basic technical information collected by Wix such as device, browser, cookies, and site-use data.
We use information to respond to you, coordinate story follow-up, provide accessibility, maintain site security, understand site use, and meet legal or organizational obligations. Wix and connected service providers may process data to host and operate the website. We do not sell personal information.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we control, withdraw a story inquiry, or ask questions about privacy by emailing codalegacyproject@gmail.com. Contributors may request anonymity, editing, removal, or preservation without publication when those choices are available under their written consent agreement.
We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system is completely secure. This policy may be updated as the project grows. Last updated September 20, 2026.
CHILDREN, STORIES, AND CONSENT
The website is not intended to collect personal information directly from children without appropriate adult involvement and consent. Story submissions involving minors, sensitive family information, photographs, video, ASL recordings, audio, or research participation require additional review and permission before use.
Story contributors retain the choices stated in their consent agreement. The Coda Legacy Project will not presume that an experience was harmful, beneficial, traumatic, or burdensome; contributors decide what happened, what it meant to them, and whether it may be shared.
